To learn more about the heterogeneous reading material in BNF, fr. 837 click\u00a0<a title=\"Genre in BNF fr. 837\" href=\"http:\/\/everycodextellsastory.eu\/?p=247\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A single scribe transcribed the whole manuscript, presenting the text in two columns throughout and only leaving a small amount of blank space between items. In this space, the scribe marked the end of each piece with an\u00a0explicit\u00a0(<a href=\"http:\/\/everycodextellsastory.eu\/?page_id=1147#explicit\">?<\/a>), which included a \u2018title\u2019.\u00a0In the fourteenth century, one of the manuscript\u2019s owners added additional titles before each item. You can learn more about the marks left by the different readers of this codex\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/everycodextellsastory.eu\/?p=243\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of each item, a large champie initial (<a href=\"http:\/\/everycodextellsastory.eu\/?page_id=1147#champie\">?<\/a>) marks the beginning.
